Financial Aid Assistance Week 10/30-11/2
Do you have questions regarding the FAFSA or CA Dream Act applications? Need some assistance getting your application filed? If so, please stop by the College & Career Center between 2-4pm from October 30th - November 2nd. There will be two Financial Aid Officers available to assist students and parents with either the FAFSA or CA Dream Act. There will also be a Spanish speaker available each day. Students and/or parents can drop-in anytime between 2-4pm.

Raise.Me - A way to earn $ for college starting in 9th grade!
Raise.Me allows high school students to earn scholarships from colleges for their achievements in and out of the classroom. Starting in 9th grade, students can be eligible to start earning scholarships for their achievements like good grades, perfect attendance, leadership roles, participation in sports & clubs, community service, tests scores and more. Do you need some guidance when it comes to the college admissions process? The Getin2College College Admission Handbook is a great place to start! Tutor List Available & Free Tutoring from Moorpark City Library
Do you need help with your classwork? The College & Career Center is putting together the paid tutor list for the 2017/18 school year. If you would like a copy, please e-mail me at and I would be happy to forward it to you. Thank you. The Moorpark City Library offers FREE tutoring Mondays & Thursdays from 4-6pm.
SAT code for CSU Mentor is 3594
This is the code (3594) for ALL CSU Schools. If you put this code down as one of your college choices then your SAT scores will go out to all California State Universities. It will show up as CSU Mentor.
Common Black College Application
The Common Black College Application allows students to apply to any number of 53 HBCU's at the same time for only $35. For more information you can go to:

Southwest Oregon Community College
Southwestern Community College does not charge out of state tuition. They also offer free tuition to those high school students graduating with a 3.75 or higher GPA. This campus has on-campus housing and has over 50 different areas of study from pre-engineering and pre-med to manufacturing technology and nursing.
