2017 Ventura County Job & Career Fair - Thursday, June 29, 2017
The County of Ventura is pleased to announce the 2017 Job & Career Fair to be held at the Government Center on Thursday, June 29 from 10am-2pm. Ventura County has over 25 agencies/departments that provide a multitude of essential public services to citizens of Ventura County. There are approximately 50 open job postings on a daily basis. Raise.Me - A way to earn $ for college starting in 9th grade!
Raise.Me allows high school students to earn scholarships from colleges for their achievements in and out of the classroom. Starting in 9th grade, students can be eligible to start earning scholarships for their achievements like good grades, perfect attendance, leadership roles, participation in sports & clubs, community service, tests scores and more. Tutor List Available & Free Tutoring from Moorpark City Library
Do you need help with your classwork? The College & Career Center is putting together the paid tutor list for the 2016/17 school year. If you would like a copy, please e-mail me at and I would be happy to forward it to you. Thank you. The Moorpark City Library offers FREE tutoring Mondays & Thursdays from 4-6pm.
SAT code for CSU Mentor is 3594
This is the code (3594) for ALL CSU Schools. If you put this code down as one of your college choices then your SAT scores will go out to all California State Universities. It will show up as CSU Mentor.
Common Black College Application
You can submit the CBCA and apply to numerous colleges at the same time and it is only $35.00 to apply to 1 or all 37 colleges on the list. You can receive scholarship offers from several different colleges. For more information you can go to:

Southwest Oregon Community College
Southwestern Community College does not charge out of state tuition. They also offer free tuition to those high school students graduating with a 3.75 or higher GPA. This campus has on-campus housing and has over 50 different areas of study from pre-engineering and pre-med to manufacturing technology and nursing.
